The Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain, Mich., is now able to include people of all ages in its programming thanks to a grant from the Dickinson Area Community Foundation, WLUC reports.
The nonprofit awarded the library a grant for 50 silent headphones and three transmitters.
The silent sound system connects to different radio stations and allows people with sensory sensitivity or hearing issues to enjoy events like everyone else.
"We want to include everybody, so if they do have a sensory issue, this is a way to include everyone and make it available for families as well," says library programming coordinator Emily Cummings.
The library is holding a headphone event on Monday, April 1, from 11am to 3pm.
They will be playing Disney channel music, retro, and today's hits. Read the Entire Article
