The Arts Alive Foundation, sponsored by PNC Bank, has selected seven worthy organizations to receive grants totaling $250,000. An endeavor that has been carried out for the last seven years, the Arts Alive grants are a boon to the arts community of Ohio.
Selected on a competitive basis, receipt of a grant indicates the applicant offers a new or unique approach in the arts. Recipients of this year's awards are: CACTCO, $35,000; New Albany Symphony, $25,000; BalletMet, $40,000; Carpe Diem String Quartet, $20,000; Columbus Museum of Art, $45,000; Central Ohio Symphony, $20,000; ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, $37,500; and Pizzuti Collection, $27,500.
Ohio is greatly enriched by this corporate philanthropy to the arts. For example, the Columbus Museum of Art will utilize this grant to continue its offering of free admission days.

Rivaayat is an initiative by Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi to revive various dying art form and solve innumerable problems faced by the artisans. Rivaayat began with reviving a 20,000-year-old art form of pottery that is a means of survival for 600 families residing in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
