It's not every day that a group of senior citizens wins a big prize, but that's exactly what happened to seniors in Kingsford, ND, last week.
The Dickinson Area Community Foundation's Golden K seniors won a $1,000 scholarship after winning a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Walmart, reports the Daily Beast.
The group meets on the first Monday of the month at 10am at the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford.
"We conclude with a thought for the day: No winter lasts forever," the group wrote in a Facebook post.
"No spring skips its turn.
April is a promise that May is bound to keep."
