When Hilda Ledezma moved to Texas from Mexico more than 30 years ago, she didn't think she'd end up in Corpus Christi.
But she did, and now she's trying to do something about it.
Ledezma is the founder of the Revival of Cultural Arts group, which aims to keep the arts alive in the city, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports.
"The arts, music, film, theater, dance, is such a huge part of culture," she says.
"It's important for people to know that there are people out there who care about these things."
So far, Ledezma has raised more than $100,000 for the group, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month at the First Baptist Church of Corpus Christi. Read the Entire Article
