A central Pennsylvania school district is getting a big boost in funding for after-school arts programs.
The Altoona Area School District was one of 24 organizations in Blair County to receive a grant from Operation Our Town, PennLive.com reports.
The money will be used for the Tyrone Area School District's after-school arts program, which will buy a potter's wheel.
The library and the Northern Blair County Recreation Commission also received grants.
Operation Our Town is a nonprofit that gives out more than $1.3 million in grants each year.
