Sixteen nonprofit groups in New Jersey's Burlington County will receive a total of $152,000 in state funding to support the arts.

The grants, from the state's New Jersey Arts Council, were approved by the county's commissioners last week, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

"Burlington County is known for its natural scenery and history, but we're also proud of our county's vibrant diverse arts scene," county commissioner director Felicia Hopson says.

Among the recipients: the Moorestown Theater Company, the Essence of Harmony Society, West Jersey Chamber Music Society, and West Jersey Music Academy, per Patch.com.
