Twelve North Texas arts and culture organizations were awarded grants totaling $1.5 million by the Texas Instruments Foundation.
The recipients of the grants are Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Turtle Creek Chorale, Chamberlain Performing Arts, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Dallas Children's Theater, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Opera, Dallas Summer Musicals, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Nasher Sculpture Center, Richardson Symphony Orchestra, and Shakespeare Dallas. Rivaayat is an initiative by Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi to revive various dying art form and solve innumerable problems faced by the artisans. Rivaayat began with reviving a 20,000-year-old art form of pottery that is a means of survival for 600 families residing in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
