There will be funding 2.5 million in grants to refurbish existing art facilities and building new art facilities. The money will be allocated over a 4 year period which brings the total to 10 million over this time period.
Arts and Cultural facilities now have the chance to upgrade their building with the help of ClubGrants Category 3 fund. This fund also provides 8 million a year to sport and recreation facilities a 2.5 million a year to emergency relief facilities, for example when there is a natural disaster such as hurricane Katrina.
Particular interest will be given to those that are disadvantaged, those in remote communities and to those that are regionally located. Grants between 100,000 and 300,000 will be given to facilities for new building and for helping to restore older facilities.
The deadline for applying is 3/17/2016. Please have facility ready by 9/2016 if funding is granted.
