Kayla Jang grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and spent her college days in New York City.
"With both cities being so visually stimulating, I had a never-ending source of inspiration," the 39-year-old says in a Q&A with (201) Magazine.
"I remember comparing the unique shapes of storefront typefaces and logos which later helped me in my design career."
Now a native of Fort Lee, NJ, Jang works with oil, acrylic, graphite, and digital for design work.
She also teaches art and design at Art Lab Studio in Fort Lee.
Her work has been displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the New Jersey Institute of Art, the New Jersey Museum of Art, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and many more.
She's also had her work displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Whitney Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in LA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, and many more.
