Mandell Theater at Drexel University in Philadelphia opened its doors to the public on Nov.
10, 1973, with student performances of Nos.l Coward's Red Peppers and Stephen Sondheim's Company, Philly.com reports.
Forty-five years later, the Mandell is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of concerts, recitals, and plays that feature students from its theater, dance, and music programs.
"This milestone is not just about honoring our past but also about looking forward to the future, where the Mandell Theater will continue to be a vibrant hub for artistic expression and community engagement," says Westphal College of Media Arts & Design Dean Jason Schupbach.
