Parents in Bellevue, Wash., will soon be able to send their kids to school from anywhere in the state.
The Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction has approved Bellevue Digital Discoverya K-12 online schoolas a multi-district school, meaning it's open to all families in the Bellevue School District who live within or outside its attendance area, the Seattle Times reports.
"This means enrollment is open to all Washington state families who live within or outside the Bellevue School District attendance area," the school says on its website.
The school will offer both elementary and secondary programs, and parents are welcome to apply at any time.
"The school offers creative and flexible education that inspires and empowers students through a personalized learning experience where students can discover unique pathways to success," the site says.
It's not the district's first foray into online education: It opened a middle school in 2012, and a high school in 2013.
