Dinah Gretsch, who has been in the music industry for more than 40 years, is donating $300,000 to help more young people get into the industry, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

"With this donation, more young people will be able to discover their place in the industry," Gretsch says in a press release.

"Dinah has been recognized as a prominent figure in the musical instruments industry for 40 years with numerous prestigious awards and accolades."

Gretsch is the president and founder of Gretsch's Music Foundation, according to the Journal-Constitution.

She also serves on the board of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and the College Music Society.

Her multi-year donation will go to the Foundation's GenNext program, which prepares students for careers in the music industry.

"Our GenNext students can hardly find the words to describe how their eyes have been opened to all the connections and possibilities for a life in music that the program offers them," Mary Luehrsen, executive director of the Foundation, says in the press release. Read the Entire Article
