America's assistant secretary of state for cultural affairs was in Nigeria last week, and she's making headlines for an announcement she made about the country.
Per a State Department press release, Assistant Secretary Emily Satfield announced the formation of the United States on Africa's 26th American Space Summit in Lagos.
The purpose of the summit is to boost economic and cultural ties between the US and Africa, and Satfield's announcement is part of a larger effort by the Obama administration to boost ties between the US and Africa. Read the Entire Article
