Visitors to a new exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Mass., are being asked to imagine what the world might look like in the event of climate change.
The exhibit, Our Time on Earth, is a collaboration between the museum, scientists, artists, and designers from 12 countries, and it asks visitors to imagine what the world might look like in the event of climate change, the Boston Globe reports.
Some of the exhibits are installation-level, like an oak table set with dinner plates and wolves, while others are more hands-on.
The goal is to "bring creativity to bear on our future climate situation," the museum's director tells the Globe.
"What can these in collaborations offer?" she says.
"What can these be a powerful tool that we live in? It can create new realities or redefine the world that we live in."
