Facebook data center, located in Altoona Illinois, was able to award over one hundred thousand dollars to sustainable, community based programs near them as a way of giving back to their local community.
This year, several nearby schools were the recipients of some of those grants. The school anticipates using the money to purchase new equipment to further students' education. Among those recipients are other organizations that received grants, such as library and park services, will use their grants to further their individual missions.
