Three generations of the Wintrode family were honored as this year's Philanthropic Family of the Year at the SDSU Foundation's Celebration of Philanthropy at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center April 24.
Virgil and Jo also funded scholarships and eventually provided funding for the WIntrode Student Success program, which offers tutoring services to SDSu students.
