Community Foundation Donates More Than $100,000 Locally


Foundation: Wyoming Community Foundation

The Kemmerer Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in grants to community organizations in Kemmerer, Diamondville, and the Frontier area of Wyoming.

The foundation, which was established in 1981 after the sale of the Kemmerer Coal Company, is "connected people who care with causes that matter to build a better Wyoming," according to its website.

Among the recipients of this year's grants: the Carbon County 4-H Club, which will use the money for a robotics club; the Carbon County Library, which will use it for after-school programs; the Carbon County Museum, which will use it for an exhibit on the history of coal mining in the area; and the Carbon County 4-H Club, which will use the money for a robotics club.
