The Wharton Center for Performing Arts in Michigan is hosting its 12th annual Sutton Foster Awards Showcase on Saturday, and it's got 130 high school students performing a variety of Broadway medleys, the Detroit Free Press reports.
"We are thrilled to showcase the extraordinary talents of high school theater students from across Michigan here on our Cobb Great Hall stage," Eric Olmscheid, executive director of the Wharton Center, says in a press release.
"This program aims to inspire creativity with young audiences and elevate the theater-making experience by creating lifelong skills."
The winners of the showcase will be chosen to represent Michigan at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City in June.
