"It's completely mind-boggling to be honest," says an Australian composer who's been asked to compose music for a major light display in one of the world's most iconic settings.
Bailey Pickles, a third-year music student at Sydney's Conservatorium of Music, has been asked to create a 10-minute looping composition to soundtrack Our Connected City, a major light display at this year's Vivid Sydney festival.
Visitors will be able to listen to the soundtrack live through the Cinewav app, reports Mashable.
The theme for the festival, which runs from May 24 to June 15, 2024, "humanity," inspired Pickles to create a work that would bring people together, he says.
"I think it's important that people can come together and celebrate such beautiful and large-scale music needs to be equally beautiful big, and upbeat," he adds. Read the Entire Article
