Warner Music Group, a leading American multinational entertainment and record label conglomerate, has expressed interest in partnering with the Federal Government of Nigeria to invest in the country's thriving music industry.
The company paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, in Abuja at the weekend, to discuss plans for global expansion with a focus on Nigeria.
Alfonso Perez-Soto, President, Emerging Markets at Warner Music Group, outlined the company's vision for investment in Nigeria's creative industry, emphasizing their commitment to supporting local talents and driving innovation.
"We have achieved significant investments in companies like Afrikori Warner and Chocolate City Record label in Nigeria," Perez-Soto said.
"We have major artists who have been incredibly successful from Nigeria, such as Burna Boy, CKay, and Joe Boy, among others."
