Hudson's Bay is putting its money where its mouth is.
The Canadian department store is donating $1 million to support Indigenous communities across the country, the CBC reports.
The donation from the Hudson's Bay Foundation is part of the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund, which was inspired by singer-songwriter Downie's call to build a better Canada.
"Gord Downie was and is an amazing artist and musician and philanthropist and I think he would be really proud of what CAMP is giving to communities," Hudson's Bay CEO Andrew Kimbley tells the CBC.
Hudson's Bay is donating 100% of net proceeds from the sale of its Point Blankets to support Indigenous communities.
