The prime minister of the Bahamas calls it "a long-cherished ambition": His country is building a school to train people for careers in the performing arts.

The Bahamas Creative and Performing Arts School, or CAPAS, will offer full-time and part-time courses in singing, musical theater, acting, costuming, filmmaking, and talent management, the Tribune reports.

Students must be at least 18 years old and will be allowed to take only performance, creative, and technical courses.

"We have already started to form significant partnerships with the top schools and other establishments related to this field around the world," says an official.

The school is expected to open in 2026, and the first showcase is expected in May 2026. Read the Entire Article
