"We love surprising our educators and providing them with the tools and experiences they've identified to impact student learning," says Tiffany Ortiz, director of the Montgomery ISD Education Foundation, which recently handed out $75,000 in grants to the Texas district's 10 campuses.
The grants, awarded to applications with "an inventive approach to improve and enrich learning," will be used for programs and supplies at elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as for first-generation college students and field trips to Houston museums, per a district blog post.
