Parents in Georgetown County, South Carolina, will soon be able to choose their child's school of choice for the coming school year.
The Georgetown County School District began offering magnet schools for the 2023-244 school year, the Post and Courier reports.
Students at Browns Ferry Elementary, Pleasant Hill Elementary, Plantersville Elementary, Carvers Bay Middle, and Carvers Bay High Schools can choose from one of five areas of focus: digital immersion, STEAM Academy, STREAM Academy, creative and performing arts, or academic.
Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year begins on Jan.
