The Palm Beach Post is calling it "one of the most expensive lunches in Hollywood history," and it's thanks to one woman's generous donation.
Per Page Six, actress and philanthropist Jean Shafiroff made a $100,000 donation to the Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County, which provides mental health services to people in the area who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford them.
Shafiroff's generous giftsaid to be the first of its kind in the Post's historywill be used to host a luncheon at the Breakers in February 2024.
It's not clear how the money was raised, but the Post says it was "raised funds to benefit the Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County....
The Center provides mental health services to individuals and families in Palm Beach County who would otherwise be unable to afford the help they so desperately need."
Shafiroff is a well-known philanthropist who serves on the boards of seven charities, as well as on the boards of the Southampton Hospital Association, French Heritage Society, Couture Council of the Museum at FIT, Global Strays, the New York Women's Foundation, and the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation.
