If you're a kid in Shelby County, Tenn., and you love reading, you'll probably love this book.Adventures With Amir and Zuri: Shelby County A to Z is a compilation of more than 300 submissions from community volunteers, the Daily Memphian reports.
The book, published by the Shelby County Mayor's Office of Innovation, includes photos of local landmarks and tells the stories of two young friends, Amir and Zuri.
Mayor Lee Harris says the idea for the book came from the mayor's office after he saw a children's book about Shelby County at a library and thought it would be a good idea to include local landmarks in the book as well, the Commercial Appeal reports.
