Megha Malik: Indian Women Entrepreneur &Amp; Co-Founder of Designerpeople, A Branding Agency

When Megha Malik traveled to different parts of the world, she "could see people appreciating brands, but that was not seen in India," she tells Fast Company.

"People in India loved art, but they were not introduced to branding, and the aim to see our desire to make all Indian businesses grow and thrive through strong and credible branding and marketing strategies, even in the most crowded markets, was the primary drive that led to the idea of DesignerPeople."

And that's exactly what she did, with a post-graduate degree in marketing and packaging design under her belt, as well as more than 16 years of experience in various industries, including branding and packaging design.

Today, the 34-year-old is the director of DesignerPeople, a full-service branding, packaging, and digital marketing agency based in New Delhi.

It was Malik's own passion for design that led her to pursue a career in it.

"My caliber of utilizing imagination to craft effective designs that communicate messages, evoke emotions, and solve problems was a driving force," she says in a Q&A.

" witnessing the powerful impact of well-executed creative work on individuals and society motivated me to contribute my skills to this dynamic and ever-evolving field."
