Kids in the small Alabama town of Bay Minette will now be able to get a better view of their basketball goals thanks to a grant from the North Baldwin Community Foundation.
The foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of South Alabama, recently awarded the town's recreation department a $15,000 grant to buy goal extenders and more safety wall padding, AL.com reports.
"This will help support our youth basketball program by allowing us to offer younger age divisions and safer playing conditions in the gym," the town's recreation director says.
The foundation also recently gave $10,000 to the Bay Minette Public Library for a book bench painted with a "Magic School Bus" theme. Read the Entire Article
