A pair of shoes designed by Stuart Weitzman could soon be worth a million dollars.
The fashion designer has donated a pair of his signature shoesestimated to be worth up to $1 millionto the Weitzman Initiative for the Arts and Industry, which is planning an eight-story shoe museum, restaurant, theater, store, and other elements at a proposed $86.7 million cultural center in Haverhill, Mass., the Boston Globe reports.
The Weitzman Collection was first displayed in New York in 2018 and featured a pair of shoes designed by Weitzman that were outlined in diamonds worth a million dollars.
"When it was placed on display in New York in 2018, the collection featured a pair of shoes outlined in diamonds worth a million dollars," according to a press release.
"Michael Drossos, who worked with Weitzman to craft the concept, was on hand to accept the donation from AHEPA Foundation Vice President Gary Vatoseow, Treasurer James Antonopoulos, and Director E.
Philip Brown."
