Missouri's Kirkwood School District is hoping a new program will help its struggling middle schoolers catch up, the St.
Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Called Kirkwood Compass, the program will be offered to at-risk middle schoolers starting next year.
Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Matt Bailey says it could be behavioral, academic, or social-emotional issues.
"We really want to take a look at what options we have to provide those students with something different that's going to meet their needs," Bailey tells the Post-Dispatch.
