The New York State Council on the Arts has awarded $296,730 in grants to 61 nonprofit and public organizations in the Rochester area, WHEC reports.
According to the Democrat and Chronicle, the grants are part of a new partnership between the Rochester Area Community Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts.
The grants are up to $5,000 and go to art projects that increase audience reach, organizational capacity, or equitable access to their programming. Read the Entire Article

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published the first of three volumes of its fifth Assessment Report (AR5).
