It's that time of year again: time for teens and young adults in southern Ohio to apply for summer jobs.
The Columbus Dispatch reports Goodwill of South Central Ohio is currently accepting applications for its annual Summer Youth program, in which teens and young adults work with a Goodwill job coach over a five-week period at area businesses.
Participants are paid minimum wage throughout the program, where they learn the skills needed to sustain employment and gain work experience to help them get a job when they are ready.
The program runs from June 6 to Aug. 12, and this year's work sites include Accurate Heating and Cooling, Campbell's Market, Dogwood Pass, Frisch's, Hampton Inn, Lazy Dog Camp Resort, Mighty Children's Museum, Millstone BBQ, Pike Heritage Museum, Shawnee Campground and Kayak Rental, and YMCA.
