About Us
United States Artists has received almost $20 million in recent contributions. The money comes from philanthropic groups, especially the Ford Foundation, and private donors. United States Artist will use the funds to support the operations of the organization.
Established eleven years ago, United States Artists gives out grants to help support artists. The recently announced contributions will not be directly financing artists, but by ensuring continuing operations of the group will allow United States Artists to be innovative in managing the $50,000 awards they give out to accomplished artists in visual and performing arts.
The major donor with $10 million is the Ford Foundation, whose president released a statement regarding the positive role that artists play in the world. Other notable contributors include the Rockefeller Foundation and other donors are still giving money.
